Strategy, leadership and delivery for SMEs and mid-sized businesses

Mandates · Part-time · Full-time

28 years of experience in marketing and communication leadership and B2B project management. A career spanning agencies, in-house roles and outsourced leadership. Based in the canton of Vaud since 2025, with active mandates in French-speaking Switzerland and France.

### The real problem is rarely the one I am initially asked to solve. My work begins by understanding it.

AI and digital transformation have made marketing more complex for SMEs. Tools are multiplying, channels are evolving and providers are becoming more specialised. What is most often missing is not execution, it is the strategic groundwork and leadership that connect it all.

### Three ways to work together

#### Mandate

A focused project or ongoing mandate

Diagnostics, project leadership or outsourced direction. A scope shaped around your goals, from strategy through to delivery.

[Explore my expertise](https://helenedallais.ch/en/services/)

#### Part-time role

A member of your team

An in-house marketing and communication director or manager, with a working schedule agreed together.

[Explore my experience](https://helenedallais.ch/en/experience/)

#### Full-time role

A lasting commitment

Joining an organisation in French-speaking Switzerland to lead marketing strategy, bring teams together and take responsibility for results.

### My work always begins with the business.

Offer, positioning, pricing, customer journey, tools: marketing becomes useful when it connects to the decisions that shape growth.

## Services

Canonical page: [Marketing services in French-speaking Switzerland | Hélène Dallais](https://helenedallais.ch/en/services/)

I work on marketing and communication challenges that require both strategic understanding and the ability to deliver. The scope is tailored to your objectives and resources, from a short assignment to a long-term mandate. My commitment: operational results, not recommendations.

### Strategic marketing diagnostic

Marketing activities accumulate without an overall vision. Investments lack clarity.

Analysis of your offer, positioning, channels, tools and current providers. Identification of friction points and the decisions that should take priority.

Deliverable: a prioritised roadmap: what to initiate, restructure or stop.

### Outsourced marketing and communication leadership

The business needs structured marketing leadership, but the workload or budget does not justify hiring.

Integration into the company’s governance: setting priorities with the leadership team, managing providers and budgets, and establishing monitoring and reporting.

Deliverable: marketing managed at leadership level, with clear performance indicators.

### Marketing project leadership

A strategic project needs to move forward: a website redesign, an offer launch, an acquisition campaign, an event or a CRM rollout.

Defining scope and objectives, selecting and briefing providers, coordinating production, and tracking deadlines and budgets.

Deliverable: a completed project, delivered within the agreed framework.

### Positioning, offer and messaging

The company has real expertise, but its value proposition remains difficult to articulate or differentiate in the market.

Clarifying target segments, decision criteria and objections. Structuring the offer, prioritising messages, and translating them into sales and digital materials.

Deliverable: structured positioning and messaging aligned with market realities.

### B2B visibility, content and campaigns

The company needs to strengthen its presence without spreading its resources too thin or losing credibility.

Editorial planning, LinkedIn strategy, email marketing, website optimisation and sales team support. Every action is tied to a measurable business development objective.

Deliverable: a coherent digital presence that supports the sales pipeline.

### My method

- Start with the business, not with marketing.
- Distinguish what is fundamental from what is secondary.
- Deliver, rather than recommend.

## Approach

Canonical page: [Approach | Strategy and marketing leadership | Hélène Dallais](https://helenedallais.ch/en/approach/)

In many SMEs, marketing is treated as a downstream activity, a communication issue delegated to an agency or managed internally without a strategic framework. The business owner invests time and money without achieving the expected results.

The problem is rarely execution. It is the absence of strategic groundwork.

My work always begins with the business: offer, positioning, pricing policy, customer journey, tools and internal organisation. This diagnostic informs the marketing strategy and the delivery I lead, directly or by coordinating specialist experts. I stay involved through to the result.

### In practice

#### Diagnostic

Analysis of the real situation, identifying problems and opportunities.

#### Strategy

Positioning, roadmap and resource allocation.

#### Delivery

Leading and coordinating implementation: providers, tools and production.

#### Measurement

Tracking indicators, making adjustments and reporting to the leadership team.

### Real examples

#### A property developer

French-speaking Switzerland

I was asked to manage online advertising. The diagnostic revealed upstream issues: pricing needed a review, there was no customer management platform, the offer lacked clarity and internal processes needed structure. We rebuilt the foundations before rolling out the digital approach. The result: significant revenue growth from the first quarter.

#### A European professional event

Luxembourg

I was entrusted with its communication from its creation. Four editions later: 3,600 visitors, 150 exhibitors and a LinkedIn community of 3,200 professionals. Content strategy, speaker interviews, newsletters and media relations, all managed continuously.

### My commitment

- I defend the client’s interests, including when that means challenging the original request.
- I do not deliver recommendations. I lead execution and take responsibility for results.
- 28 years of experience in agencies, in-house roles and outsourced leadership, from strategy to operational implementation.

### Why work with me

#### One point of contact, from diagnostic to delivery

No turnover, no handover. I am your direct contact throughout the assignment. My way of working is structured and transparent, making oversight simpler for you.

#### Broad expertise, specialist support when needed

I cover strategy, leadership and a substantial part of execution. When a subject requires a specific skill (web development, video production or technical campaigns), I bring in qualified providers whom I select, brief and manage in your interest.

#### Continuous learning and practical use of AI

Nine years of independent practice have taught me to keep learning and incorporate technological developments into my daily work. AI tools are part of my operational processes: monitoring, analysis, content production and automation.
